Hi, my boyfriend send me a screenshot of something funny someone posted on his Facebook, but I noticed the heart for the dating app on the row of tabs at the top. We've been together a few years so it can't be from using it previously as it's a new feature, I just don't know if I should be worried about him having downloaded it or is this normal and does it come up on others?
I just feel silly asking him so i thought I'd ask here if anyone knows how it works?

I've seen it appear on mine as well and I've never used it. In fact I showed my partner it as I found it funny that fb was also turning into a dating site!

Mine went on top of the screen next to notifications once I'd set up my dating profile. The heart disappeared from there when I deleted my profile.

Thanks for the replies, it's never been there on my Facebook so that's why I thought it was strange. It's the last thing I'd expect him to do tbh, especially screenshot it if he was using it for cheating! I'll forget about it then 😊

I just checked my FB and I don't have it.

Which means there is no explanation for the annoying men who send you those stupid "Hi, how r un?" pms when you don't even know them. As if FB is turning into Tinder. Horrible.

It’s on mine, I’m 42 and have never used it or noticed it before.

Feeling a bit insulted that Facebook hasn't added it to my profile now

Not on that page, but along the bottom where you have notifications, homepage and the other icons had the dating heart? I thought it would only come up there if you'd signed up to it

This came up on my along the bottom but I'd never used it if that helps

Now I've been looking at it on Facebook it's come up on mine! I haven't downloaded it so who knows

It just appears when your phone updates according to my googling efforts.... mine just updates automatically when it’s charging. I pressed on mine, because curiosity got the better of me lol!

I use it and if it white your fine. If there’s a red number by it it means it’s being used.

Just checked mine too and I have it but never used it or looked for it. It seems to be a placeholder and unless there is something against it then it isn't being used. You can relax now :)

Mine is red and I am a widowed 63 year old and have definitely not used it but also no number next to it

it's on mine even though ive never used it and been 'facebook official' as in a relationship since 2013, seems very daft of them
