I am a horrible person for this?
I love it when its just me & the dc in the house
I often think about being single
I find it hard to adjust to him being back home
Everything he does irritates me in the house
Am i bad or is it normal to feel this way?

I found this too, DH used to be away during the week, every week with work and then often away for weeks or months at a time (military). I actually enjoyed the balance, although it was bloody hard work, and although I did love him being home, it was hard to adjust once in a routine. I wouldn't feel bad at all, I think it's normal and takes a while to find your groove.

what are you with him for? would you not rather be with someone you enjoy living with?

Ilovebooks1 · 15/12/2020 20:10

@Backbee i find it easier when he’s not here lol...

I think it's one thing to enjoy an evening or two alone. I like being able to order whatever food I want and watch TV that DH isn't into so sometimes I secretly rub my hands together when he says he'll be out. But it's a bit of another to be actively annoyed by the presence of your DH on a regular or constant basis.

@Ilovebooks1 I did too haha, but still loved having him home. I think if you see no positives him being back then that's probably a sign youre happier alone, but to be annoyed I think is normal.

I work away OP.. but I do get it 😂

I used to hate it but now I love it.

Go to bed early, have a picky tea, watch Netflix. Covid has stolen this from me.

If he's away two days I deep cleaning the house after work, get a shower and just like sitting in a spotless house knowing the washing is done.

Bliss.
