Fleeing EU country back to UK - DV

Hello

I'm looking for any information to help my BF leave her husband and bring their children back to the UK. They currently live in an EU country (they are both UK citizens) and their marriage has become so volatile that I'm terrified for her safety. I'm concerned that he's going to find this thread so I won't add any further information until I feel less paranoid. Thanks for reading.

Just getting on a plane is not a good idea! Please make sure she gets proper legal advice before doing anything.

She would be leaving herself open to legal action under the Hague convention if she takes the kids out of their country of residence without the father's permission. She would probably be better off accessing DV support in the country she is in, unfortunately.

Thanks for your responses. Yes, was wondering about The Hague Convention. She has primary school-aged children. She was advised to get the next plane out by a lawyer in the country, otherwise she is looking at a long and protracted divorce which will apparently take years.

She needs to do this properly and very, very carefully. The Hague Convention is real. She needs help to escape from people who know the law. Maybe start here www.globalarrk.org/for-parents/our-support-network/

The Hague Convention is a real thing. I was also advised to get on a plane by child services whilst sitting in their office in The Hague, so do not underestimate the shitty advice given by people who should know better.
