Please help, I'm worried sick.

I'm worried about a loved one's cock lodger.

Well, to be accurate, I'm worried about her, and he seems "off".

He's a man in his mid-thirties with no job, no home, no social media, few discernible friends. (None that she's met) He doesn't want to meet her friends or family. But in accompanying her everywhere inevitably you bump into people. And they're all worried. Even the men. Who are so often oblivious.

Does anything need to have happened go use Clare's Law? Do the police need to be involved? How long does it take? Does anybody know?

I'm sure he has a long history of being a bad boyfriend/partner/husband/father/tenant. I don't want to out her, but how identifying of him can I be on here? Can I post something entitled "Anyone ever had a cocklodger with the initials...?"

I'm involved in Claire's law. It is a scheme that is run through the police as the information is taken from police systems about any danger the partner poses in relation to DV. You phone 101 provide the details of both parties and request that a Claire's law disclosure is done. It can take a couple of months but if there is something seriously concerning it will be quicker.

It is important to note that the information goes to the loved one (if there is any relevant info) and you will not find out if a disclosure has been made. Also the loved one can refuse to receive the info as they have to sign a statement agreeing to keep the info they receive secret. If they don't sign that, they don't receive the information.

@ChavvySexPond, from what I was told, it won't show everything. I was told that assault wouldn't show up. A girlfriend not living with her boyfriend being beaten up by him would not be classed as DV.
