My poor mum and the way my SD and sisters treat her.....

Ok so my mum is not perfect and neither is my step dad. I have 2 half sisters aged 20 and 18 and they have no respect for my mum. They all take the piss out of her, back chat her, literally have no respect for her.
My step dad has said he doesnt want to do family things with her anymore. My mum is very upset.
The 18yr old and SD are the worst together. She sticks up to her dad and nothing he does is wrong. They say mum is an alcoholic (although I dont think she is now...) but yet its ok for him to go out every sunday with his cycling mates and get rat arsed. My mum is so unhappy but says she has no money to move out.... I dont know what to do

Do you live at home still? Could she move in with you if not?

If that was my mum I would be barking at them to pipe down and who the hell do they think they are talking to!

Your mum needs to find her strength and stand up for herself

You say you don't think your mum is an alcoholic 'now'. Does that mean you think she was in the past? If so, I'm not surprised there's difficulty as living with an alcoholic is soul destroying

No I don’t live at home. I have offered for her to come and stay at mine for a while.
When I say alcoholic I’m not really sure, they both used to drink a lot when I was younger

Was she a drinker OP? What's going on there?

Can she afford counselling?
