Hi
I've been single a year and the only way I'm likely to meet anyone these days is online . I tried match and thought it a total waste of time and money.

Has anyone tried e - harmony? It's also quite costly so thought it sensible to get a few opinions.

Any in line dating advice very much appreciated.

I'm on bumble which is free but very little success on there . Had loads of dates from Match but never wanted a second! Maybe I'm too fussy ! 🙂.

Opinions most appreciated on the online date apps

Thanks

I've just signed up
To POF and there's just too many men !!!! 😱😱. Within 10 minutes I had messaged and 85 want to meet things and it's too scary . I look like someone shooing a wasp right now .....

I met my husband on eharmony 10 years ago. Having to pay and the hoops you have to jump through to actually view your matches means people tend to be more committed to finding a long term partner rather than a quick shag. Obviously a lot changes in a decade but back then I rated it!

Lol, eHarmony, you spend ages doing a questionnaire, then I met people with wildly different personalities. One the most boring ever and obv only matched as in age range and similar work sphere, poles apart otherwise. Then Mr Hyper, off the wall nutter. Never have I met such different people. I think I'm better off picking myself than having some algorithm decide for me. Long questionnaires just mean you get cut off from seeing many you'd maybe gel with. I don't trust algorithms after that experience.

I used e hamony for a couple of years and really liked it although I ultimately met my OH through a mutual friend.

On the price of it, sign up for the "free" bit and leave it a couple of weeks - they'll send you an offer for 3 months for the price of 1. After that you can bin it or wait for another promo email.

It was worth the slog of filling out all the bumpf as my matches were all suitable and didn't contain the loonies that the free sites did.

I use Hinge, with success Grin - haven’t met ‘the one’ yet, but have had some good conversations, meetings and dates. Properly dated one from there pre lockdown but it fizzled out in the pandemic, one of those things.

It’s free, although there is a premium option, I used premium when I first joined late last year, but when I restarted about 5 weeks ago I’ve not, and it’s still been good lol!
