Flirting with a new man. What would you text back

I'm so out the game & I really like him. We're texting and flirting, speaking about the warm weather, the beach, work.

He's said he's going topless at work (he's a roofer) for the next few days. I personally want to say I'd love to see.. but I don't want to sound desperate..

What can I say that will be flirty but also keep my dignity? Haha

'It's kind of you to give the street a treat during lockdown.'

Something like that?

CharlOtteSometime · 29/07/2020 20:34

But also bear in mind , flirting can become full on sex chat and before you know it, you'll have a dick pic in your inbox .... great if you went this but I'd exercise restraint with the sexy type flirting if you're not up for that just yet

CharlOtteSometime · 29/07/2020 20:35

A roofer telling me he was going topless would put me off so quick I have to say 😂

Fiftysixthnamechange · 29/07/2020 20:38

I'd shut this kind of chat down, it's heading into sexting territory and swapping pics, you're probably one of many. Unless, that's what you want! In which case a succinct 'you show me your tits ill show you mine' should suffice.

tararabumdeay · 29/07/2020 20:43

I'd say that men in any situation other than private relaxation going topless is uncouth and unnecessary especially in a professional environment so fuck off.

karenwilsburn69 · 29/07/2020 20:44

ask him for a dick pic or something? strait forward and gets the job done!

katiie3 · 29/07/2020 20:46

Ha. I spoke to a guy who said something very similar. He put me off. His name doesn’t begin with a J?

isthismylifenow · 29/07/2020 20:46

I'd probably say he shouldn't forget the sunscreen....

But I am single and now you can see why Smile

paris1994 · 29/07/2020 21:02

I don't mind a bit of flirting, I don't want any dick pics though lol
I want to sound sexy but not desperate haha

Couple of ideas...

"So I thought you were meant to get naked after a night on the tiles!"

"Will the local women scream or wolf whistle?"

"I understand, you don't want bikini lines!"

"Hope you're not wearing a mask as I don't like a two tone face!"

Lochie662 · 29/07/2020 21:24

I'd just say "the last time I went topless to work I got five guys phone numbers and the sack. I hope it goes better for you!.'

paris1994 · 29/07/2020 21:26

Katiie no he begins with S haha

We've been back and forth texting just small talk and general chit chat for so long now and he's finally taken it a step further to flirting. He's already complimented me non sexually but I didn't return it lol now I want to kind of say something nice to him haha

dudsville · 29/07/2020 21:28

Geeze, I'm so far out of the game that if a man texted me that I'd be asking about spf cream.

Russellbrandshair · 29/07/2020 21:30

I agree with PP. DONT start innuendo until you know him better. If you start joking about seeing him top less I guarantee you’ll have a dick pic before 10pm tonight. If you want sex chat then go for it but if you don’t yet, keep things light.

It’s more difficult to move things backwards than it is to move forwards. Just keep it light and jokey with no innuendo. There’s plenty of time for that later on when you feel comfortable with him and want to go there.

Onemansoapopera · 29/07/2020 21:30

If he's of an age to get the reference:

"Cue: diet coke break 🤩"

Totem50 · 30/07/2020 00:01

A roofer you say...

"Mines thatched and in need of some attention"

"Send me something that puts my mind in the gutter"

"What's your ladder made from... I hope you've got wood"

"If you send me a dick pic and its small then you'll get slated"

"I thought roofers were only interested in flashing:

Akea · 30/07/2020 00:05

@dudsville that was my first thought as well :)))

Aquamarine1029 · 30/07/2020 00:06

Gross. I'd tell him to put his fucking shirt back on. He sounds like he's 17.

FizzyGreenWater · 30/07/2020 00:13

‘Oh I think a bit of the damp greenish moss clogging up my guttering just broke off at the thought’

That kind of thing OP?

Hairthrowaway · 30/07/2020 00:15

Some of these lines are a bit much. As a young adult I’d probably just send something like “really👀”. Does the job

YourWinter · 30/07/2020 00:20

Don't pave the way for sexting unless you're really sure that's a great way to start a relationship. I guess you haven't met him in person? His name can begin with S, J, ABC or all of them, if he's on a dating site, and his real name might be completely different!

draughtycatflap · 30/07/2020 00:23

“Getting your tits out for the lads, Eh?”

PornStarOvaltini · 30/07/2020 07:32

I fear you've probably left it too late if you haven't yet replied OP but you could just say something general like 'and where is that exactly? 😉'

justanotherneighinparadise · 30/07/2020 07:53

Just an emoji will do

🤤

Crumpets4butter · 30/07/2020 10:12

Definitely 'diet coke break 😉' 👍
