I’m panicking so much could really do with some advice.

I miscarried in March and just before then I had noticed some unusual discharge. The miscarriage took over and I thought of nothing else for months. After a bit of pelvic pain a month ago, I eventually went to the doctor, had swabs and turns out I have BV. I’ve taken antibiotics and had a scan since, said it is ok.

I am terrified that having left it all this time that I have developed pelvic inflammatory disease. And i have read sometimes they can’t even see this on an ultrasound.

I’m kicking myself for not going to the doctors sooner about the discharge but it wasn’t bothering me much and I thought it would just go away. I keep thinking what if I’ve left it too late and now I will never be able to have children.

I feel sick and scared and all over the place. Is there any other test I can do to check?

BV isn't the same as PID.

But go back to your GP and talk to them. They'll be able to advise if further tests are needed.

No but I have read it can travel up during miscarriage because the cervix opens.
And it is hard to diagnose so you might not know you have it.

Doctor says no tests needed now. I’m still worrying.
