Was speaking to a friend of mine today who has been seeing a guy for 4 weeks. She said he told her hes really fallen for her and loves her!!

She doesnt know whether its weird for him to feel like this after just 4 weeks as she certainly doesnt love him yet!!

Would you be scared off or think it sweet???

This happened to me and I was dumped after two months as the guy didn't know what he wanted at all. Not saying dump him, but saying be REALLY careful, she shouldn't allow herself to get sucked in if she doesn't feel the same.

Weird

allgonebellyup · 27/09/2007 13:03

my (ex) dh declared his love for me after about 3 weeks, and proposed after 8 weeks.
if it feels right, it feels right.
we were together 6yrs and in that time he made me very happy and gave me my son.

i wouldnt run just yet.

law3 · 27/09/2007 13:05

guys have a habit of saying they love you to get into your knickers

Tamz77 · 27/09/2007 19:12

This is a great thread, the whirlwind romances have brought a tear to my (usually clouded by the cataracts of cynicism) eye.

Quick Q for mytwopence worth...how did you end up moving in with a guy the day you met? Did he just never leave after the night before ?

pagwatch · 27/09/2007 19:26

My Dh told me within two weeks and I wasn't freaked because I felt pretty much the same too.
We have been together for twenty years and married for 18. We have three kids. And we love each other as much as we did when we first met.
Whenever I find myself focussing on how shit life has been I remember how lucky we are.

So don't be freaked out yet - it could be ok

NotAnOtter · 27/09/2007 19:37

with the right person you can love this soon

PSCMUM · 27/09/2007 19:43

of course that is ok. DH told me after 3 weeks still says it now, lovely.

OnACaffieneHigh · 28/09/2007 13:41

Well, my bf told me he loved me the first day we were 'going out' as it were. (I refused to reply btw)

We are still together 7 months later, so I guess I believe him now

We had know eachother for 2 years though.

shyandretiring · 28/09/2007 13:49

were they having sex at the time?

meemar · 28/09/2007 13:52

It wouldn't put me off if I felt equally as strongly.

DH and I fell in love very quickly. We 'confessed' to each other that we were in love on about our 4th date.

We've been together 11 years and have 2 lovely sons .

Toothache · 28/09/2007 14:50

I told my ex boyf I loved him after 3 weeks....

And my current boyfriend told me after 4 weeks! We've been together 4 months now.
If you feel that way then you feel that way!!!!!!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 28/09/2007 14:55

DH proposed to me just 6 weeks after we first met (let alone started dating ).

We'll have been married 8yrs in December - and together for 9yrs at the end of November
