Bloody 40th Birthday - inspiration?

DH is 40 in August. All my plans are scuppered - they were all 'experience' based. Tickets to standup/wine tasting thing/food. Present wise he's a nightmare, but had thought of a few 'bits'

Everything has been cancelled or postponed, so I actually need to come up with something to either get or do with him (preferably kid friendly, but can always arrange childcare)
He hates soppy/lovey gifts and is one of those who just goes out and buys it if he decides he wants it, short of just asking what he wants, I'm stuck.

Also low on funds, but what did you do/get for your partners birthday that might work now with the current restrictions?

Could you replicate the wine tasting at home using a wine tasting kit in the garden with (or without) friends?
We've done a couple of cocktail nights at home during lockdown under the gazebo - set up a makeshift bar - hung fairy lights - lit the firepit. It was great fun and no need to worry about drinking and driving.
Also, depending where you are, some places are doing drive-in movie nights and - so my son told me last night - even drive-in festivals (Milton Keynes bowl I think).

Trip camping to somewhere you can light a fire, roast marshmallows etc? Rent a boat for the weekend? Wine tasting kit at home? Back garden party?

Afternoon tea delivered? Arrange for friends to pop by for a doorstep drink? Enjoy!

Rent a classic car for a day? We did a wine/cheese tasting party over zoom...

If you were due to see friends, you could all have a picnic in a garden or park? You could have wine and stuff too.

My sis is doing a (children’s) party, by delivering all the supplies (kazoo’s etc) and then getting us all together on zoom. Lots of great quizzes for zoom - my fave so far is cheese or service station quiz.

I got DH an original copy of Wisden Cricketing Monthly from the month of his birth.
