I don't know what to do...

I dream about my ex and think about him constantly and it's been 5 months since we've been together..

He has moved on and even gotten married and I hate that I can't and don't know how to move on

He got married very fast - no wonder you're not over it yet. I think that would hurt me even more. Sorry OP Flowers

AtFirstIWasAfraid · 04/06/2020 15:34

I feel your pain OP, but don’t worry you’ll get there. Just remember if he was worth the hurt he never would have left. Better things will come, until then just keep your chin up and fake a smile Flowers

@AtFirstIWasAfraid Thankyou I'm trying xx

That is quick to meet and marry someone else, a lovebomber?
It's hard to imagine now but when you do meet your next partner the hurt will be long gone and remember why he's an ex!
Things that have helped me to move on is to not look at their SM, delete old messages, throw away cards/gifts and concentrate on your own goals.

Read the book Conscious Uncoupling. It can help even if one sided. Also a fab guy on insta - createthelove. Don't bang on a closed door hun.

He's married someone else within FIVE MONTHS?

No wonder your head is spinning! Be kind to yourself - of course you're blindsided. It will take a bit more time than this especially with the absolute shock of how quickly he's moved on.

But, take comfort in the fact that it's quite likely you dodged a bullet. Five months!

Onemansoapopera · 04/06/2020 17:34

Was he already with his wife? Because 5 months?!

NiceTwin · 04/06/2020 17:35

The day will come along when you get to lunch and think 'I haven't thought of X today'.
It may be some time yet but it will happen.

Bunnymumy · 04/06/2020 17:41

Definately has to be a love bomber if he met and married someone in 5 months. That really isnt normal...or healthy. I think you've dodged a bullet.

Sounds like you may be trying to to get over a narcissist or similar. Maybe google 'trauma bond with narcissist'.

Perhaps you need to make a totally fresh start. Like moving somewhere new and changing jobs ect... is that possible? A new adventure to take your mind off the past.
