Just curious! My attraction to my dp was mostly because I thought he was a sexy bloke and a nice guy. 8 years later I still fancy him, although not in the same quick get your knickers off way and he still is a nice bloke but OMG he doesnt half get on my nerves sometimes...obviously I didnt see those things at first though...how about you?

Heathcliffscathy · 11/10/2004 16:05

suspenders and nothing else??? you saucetrel you!

aloha · 11/10/2004 16:06

He's very tall, which I liked. And he's not got any shorter! Also, really liked the way he smelled, which I know sounds repulsive. And he was a wonderful father - he already had a daughter. That certainly hasn't gone away or lost its lustre over the years.

spacemonkey · 11/10/2004 16:06

titter

suzywong · 11/10/2004 16:07

suzywong · 11/10/2004 16:07

Heathcliffscathy · 11/10/2004 16:08

Heathcliffscathy · 11/10/2004 16:08

is veinage a technical term? like girth? [runs out of the room to hide her face behind hands in a corner]

suzywong · 11/10/2004 16:09

OK it's my bedtime now, so I shall take my lowbrow comments with me and leave the floor open for serious romantic posings

goodnight

Heathcliffscathy · 11/10/2004 16:09

you see? i join in the rude shenanigins and she goes to bed...never again

suzywong · 11/10/2004 16:10

yes they are both technical terms employed by the ture coinisseur (sp?) are they not spacemonkey?

spacemonkey · 11/10/2004 16:12

oh yes, "veinage" and "girth" are terms well known to me

Poo2 · 11/10/2004 16:14

It was definatley dh's looks at first - green eyes, huge grin and body to die for. But what really reeled me in was that it took me 2 weeks to nail him! Worth the wait though. 6 years on he's still sexy as hell. Being a fitness instructor / martial artist type I love the fact he makes me feel all puny and girly - as i'm over 6 foot that's quite an achievement .

charliecatthenonsmoker · 11/10/2004 16:14

Cough Splutter...this threads changed direction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I first saw dh he was in the toilets (the ladies!) in a club, touching up his lipstick in the mirror (no mirror in the mens - it was a bit of a dive). He had dyed black spikey hair, eyeliner, lipstick, was dressed all in black and had teaspoons dangling in the laces of his Para boots. And yes, I fancied the pants off him

He doesn't make my heart race anymore (sadly) but I have to say he's a lot better turned out these days!

Poo2 · 11/10/2004 16:18

Marthamoo - if you are looking for a bit of something to get the race back I could introduce you to my brother. He's got the lipstick etc, and am sure you could come to some arrangement about the cutlery!

susanmt · 11/10/2004 16:26

ROFL at this thread.

Has cheered me up, I was feelig pretty cr*p and now am laughing.
Thanks!

marthamoo · 11/10/2004 16:28

Poo2 - ooh, I don't have the energy these days for heart racing and all that lusty stuff - I am far too old and staid

Poo2 · 11/10/2004 16:35

Marthamoo - probably a good thing. He'd have to borrow some of my mum's spoons and don't think she'd like it !

CountessDracula · 11/10/2004 19:56

His evil sense of humour, his gorgeous red hair and his Rick Astley style raincoat... (well it was 1989....)

I found him danfgerously atractive, and so arrogant but admired his ideas. when I got to know him better I realised there was a lovely caring parson behind his "womaniser" reputation, which was only that... a reputation... He makes me laugh as much as he exasperates me but 7 yrs on, I'm still convinced that he is THE one.

tylersmum · 12/10/2004 19:31

hi i was atrracted to my mans eyes they are this big blue luscious things with the longest eyelashes i have ever seen. but yes charliecatthenonsmoker i do know what ya mean but one look in his eyes and all is forgiven

harrassedmum · 12/10/2004 20:27

You saucy minxes, i was quite shocked there for a moment! Pure and innocent as i am...

I used to fantasise about dp's hairy chest, but now i am sick to death of hoovering hairs from everywhere, its like living with a permanantly moulting dog! He was good with dd, though when we moved in together couldnt be a*sed with night wakings and things, and i have to wait hours if he says hes going to make me a coffee. But other that that i do still fancy him and we generally get on really well, he's even let me have a lie in today and brought me coffee in bed, even though he had to go to college this morning.
