My daughter was due to get married next month as it's been postponed, I would really appreciate some ideas to make what should have been her special day, a little bit special?

And obviously my soon to be son in laws day too.
I was thinking a cake to be delivered. Also set up an afternoon of games over zoom. I was going to order a veil and sash each.
Any ideas would be appreciated to make it nice for them throughout the day.

I’d send very beautiful flowers. Run the games idea by her first: they might have planned a day just the two of them (which is what friends of mine in a similar situation did). I think a veil/sash could be salt in the wound, so wouldn’t want that.

Send flowers, cake, champagne, strawberries. Maybe some sort of honeymoon/newly wed hamper if they exist!!

This may not be to their taste - but I've seen lots of professional photographers doing door step 'photo shoots' and they look lovely (not overly posed) and it may be a unique way to remember this time and what they experienced.

Send them as pps suggested some nice things and leave them too it however well meaning you are it is going to be a sucky day for them forced jollity might tip her over the edge.

What a lovely thought OP. I think some sort of hamper is a good idea. Something to celebrate their relationship without being too ‘weddingy’

. But I wouldn’t try to organise their time on the day itself (with zoom games eg). You are obviously being really thoughtful but I’d think they would probably have planned something themselves - and if they haven’t it will be because they don’t want to and you doing it for them could come across as rather micro-managing

Thortful have some really lovely cards for weddings that have been postponed, they are delivering early to make sure they are there for the right data and have little stickers on the back stating do not open until such and such date on.

Whilst is very thoughtful of you, I definitely wouldn't be ordering veils and sashes, or setting up a quiz. It's their day, they'll no doubt come up with something between the two of them. Perhaps a bunch of flowers would be nice though.

My SIL has had same disappointment. We ordered a lovely afternoon tea for them and MIL did champagne and then other things for the kids.
Is there a local nice restaurant doing delivery? Could give them a voucher for a meal in advance so they can plan their night?
