Just as my thread title says realy.
Since having children I have had very little work due lack of childcare and have no savings so I don't know how I can actually move somewhere myself, any ideas?

Have you looked into getting a job which means you can afford childcare or looked at what benefits you would get if you worked part time around DC (assuming they are at school)? You would also be entitled to maintenance from your ex. Maybe you could share custody where it means you can work too. Do you have family who could help?

My dgm loaned me deposit for private rented house and I claimed benefits..

Kids are 1 and 4 so not at school yet and I'm no childcare untill the age 3 in local rural area. No local family either.
Unfortunately temporary benefits is probably the only way to go
