Is it possible to hide the info of an email address?!

Is this possible? DH had some shenanigans with a female work colleague. He was told to let me know if they email any more. He says they do not. I have had a sneak peak and there are a number of emails with “no sender” in his trash.

Please advise!

What's the content of the emails?

TidyDancer · 22/03/2020 11:47

Yeah content is key here.

willowpatterns · 22/03/2020 11:53

Does he have 'no sender' stored in his address book as a name?

AgentJohnson · 22/03/2020 11:55

For some inexplicable reason I have empty emails in my inbox, no sender, no contents and some with really strange dates from even before I had an email address.

PeachMoon · 22/03/2020 11:57

This is a common iPhone bug - google it, there are pages upon pages of people complaining about it

Stuffandnonsense100 · 22/03/2020 12:25

The content is, for example, things relating to her eg her staffing schedule.

He is saying he sent the email to himself as he asked other people for her staffing (Whcih he is in charge of) and made a list so he didn’t have to speak to her directly.

My concern is that he has somehow managed to hide her email address and she is emailing directly - which he can’t help obviously , but the lying about it after everything Whcih has hapernd would be curtains for us.

If he sent the email to himself then surely his email address would show as the sender?

iPhones are notoriously buggy though. I'm surprised he uses one for work.

Stuffandnonsense100 · 22/03/2020 12:38

@EvenMoreFuriousVexation

Those are my thoughts too

He’d show as the sender if he sent them.

I’ve only ever seen No Sender when I’ve blocked the sender, but there is an iPhone bug which some people report. Can you access the email account on another device?

Stuffandnonsense100 · 22/03/2020 12:40

Can you access the email account on another device?

Yes! His laptop....

Is this a Gmail account? You will often find emails like that in drafts - I would assume that these were drafts that somehow stuck around after the email was actually sent, and so he's deleted them.

I have to say, it doesn't sound very realistic for them to have no email contact if he is in charge of her rota. If he notably has to ask someone else every time, and also ask other people to email her, it will be very obvious that (a) something went on and (b) she isn't being treated like every other employee.

tattychicken · 22/03/2020 12:48

You can see a name on the second photo? You might want to delete it.

Stuffandnonsense100 · 22/03/2020 13:04

@tattychicken

Have reported. I tried very hard to cover names

@tribpot

Not gmail no but he is now saying it’s drafts

@tattychicken

Yes ok I see! But you would have to really zoom in!

lastburritos · 22/03/2020 13:14

@stuff I could see it easily on my cracked phone screen so reported as well 👍

MiamiNice · 22/03/2020 13:20

They're drafts. I have emails that look like this in my work account. He's put the info he got into an email, not sent it to anyone and closed the email and its been saved as a draft. Then he's deleted his drafts.

I get why you feel so worried though. But I don't think these are emails that have been sent to him or received from someone.

SybilWrites · 22/03/2020 13:23

yes it's drafts he hasn't sent.

dontgobaconmyheart · 22/03/2020 14:23

What 'shenanigans' were they? This doesn't sound like a fun way to live OP?

No subject is completely normal, if it were a draft it would be in the draft folder surely, no sender- has he not just blocked her?

Starrynite · 22/03/2020 14:26

I had a look at mine and I'm pretty sure these are just deleted draft emails

FiresideTreats · 22/03/2020 14:28

It's drafts.

Stuffandnonsense100 · 22/03/2020 15:06

Thank you everyone!!!

OP posts:
RedDhalia · 23/03/2020 10:51

If it was drafts it would say "to" not "from" surely?

WelcomeToShootingStars · 23/03/2020 14:45

Mine look like that when I blind copy

hellodinasour · 23/03/2020 15:42

Hi no sender means he has sent it to himself as a a reminder . I do this x

copycopypaste · 23/03/2020 16:04

Yes. If you blind copy the address it doesn't show up when the receiver opens it
