I posted yesterday about splitting up with my BF but I'm really struggling to stick with the decision.

My bestie and family have expressed concerns about going back there but I still find myself trying to find a way to make it work.

I know he's no good and I really need to find a way of moving on without him. Please help

Its only been one day, and you are still stuck in old habits.
Prepare two mental images; one of a stop sign, and one of something positive - something that you would like to own or do, or an ambition you would like to fulfil.

When you find yourself thinking about him, visualise a bid red STOP sign and loudly say the word STOP in your mind.
Then straight away, think of your positive thing, and go do an activity to keep you busy for 5 minutes, cleaning, or tidying, or anything.

Its like when you quit smoking; the goal is to change your thinking patterns and develop new habits.

Thanks for the comments. I have just started reading up on the trauma bonding and it's blowing my mind.

I feel so sick and although I know I need to do it, it's just making me feel awful. Quitting smoking was much easier than this.

Is there a length of time it will take to feel easier?
