I'd love to find some books, and also films, that feature separated parents or just a different family set-up from 'the norm' for my children.
I feel like everything they read/I read to them has a family with mum and dad living together.
I've got books about separation, but would like some where this isn't the main narrative, it just so happens that the child having an adventure doesn't have parents who live together. I suppose like the film ET, where it comes up but isn't the main story.
Haven't found much from Google, any recs welcome. Kids are 4, 7 and 11.
