Early days of dating someone from online. Am I doing it wrong?!

I’m a whizz at dating and have loads of experience. Turns out I’m shit at consistently dating someone when I like someone!!!!. Been seeing someone a few weeks now and I’m a nervous wreck!!!

I’m finding it all quite stressful, second guessing him, wondering if he’s dating others, the list goes on. I’m usually a very very secure person and totally in control of myself and my life and he’s appeared like a big wave and it’s very unsettling. He’s been nothing but a gentleman either so I know this is my problem. I want to ask if we are exclusive but then don’t know if it’s too soon? It feels like a minefield!!! I don’t know him from anywhere so no mutual friends or connections and it makes it seem like stepping into the unknown. How can I tell he’s into this the same way I am? Maybe he’s looking for a shag only?

Anyone else find this with online dating? How do you deal with it?!

Have you asked him what he’s looking for?

Can you just ask him if he is dating/seeing others ?

I've been with my partner for 18 months. Met on POF. We have had our bad moments, mainly because it moved pretty quickly and even though he fell in love with me, he was scared at how fast it was going and there was some messages I found to a girl he used to like that was sent when we had been together 4 months. It was flirty stuff etc but we worked through it and I've got awful insecurity issues and jealousy due to being cheated on and a horrible marriage.
We spoke for about 3 weeks before we met and we knew we wanted to stay together and came off the sites after we had met a couple of weekends.
We clicked in conversation during those 3 weeks and were so attracted to eachother that the first time we met we had sex and it was amazing cos we built up this excitement to see each other.
It's only been tough because it moved quickly.
We now live together and have our ups and downs but I love the bones of him x
