Moving on in your (lateish) 30s as a single parent of one child

Hi, just wondered if anyone can offer some success stories and experiences?
Newly divorced, 38, one amazing 4yo, long painful story of infertility (male factor) and trying for another resulting in a drawn out miscarriage, surgery and realisation that you really can’t hold on to an unhappy marriage when even in that situation you feel basically on your own, and always have been.
I now feel ready, nearly a year on, to meet people and hopefully find someone on my wavelength (so important especially now I am so appreciative of my newly found self confidence and independence) and who would accept me and my little one as a unit that we are, and be open to having another child/a child if they aren’t already a parent.

OLD - eek! But yeah I’m not discounting it, so far has been pretty soul destroying/hilarious in equal measure. No other means of meeting folk - small social circle and not much free time as busy work, study and being a mum. Trying to make an effort though!
Anyone care to share their story?

Yes of course - exH moved out shortly after my 39th birthday. 2 small DC, eldest was 5. 8 months later I met DP on Tinder... That was 3 years ago now! He is also divorced, no DC but has taken my little family on brilliantly. Given our ages another DC is unlikely but we would both welcome it and aren't actively stopping it from happening Smile
