Just wondered . Is it quite often in bed ?

Geomanc · 30/12/2019 15:21

And who said it first ?

OP posts:
Rainbowhairdontcare · 30/12/2019 15:26

About three weeks after meeting

Caramel78 · 30/12/2019 15:29

About 3 months into dating during sex. He told me he had fallen in love with me.

JorisBonson · 30/12/2019 15:31

5 months in, in the middle of the street. He didn't want to say it during sec because he didn't want me to think it wasn't for real.

JorisBonson · 30/12/2019 15:32

Sex even Confused

Mammyloveswine · 30/12/2019 15:33

About 3/4 weeks in... pissed on a night out... DH said it first. Ten years we've been together now, married 5!

Geomanc · 30/12/2019 15:35

So it doesn't bother people if it's in bed ?

CmdrCressidaDuck · 30/12/2019 15:43

within a month. In bed. Both at the same time. GrinBlush I think we'd both reached our limit on blurting "ohhhh I love... that!"

Never occurred to me to worry it was during sex, though. I think sex was just what made us helpless not to say it. And it was obvious things were going well.

Also I was very young. If God forbid I was ever seeing someone new I'd be a bit more circumspect I think.

JorisBonson · 30/12/2019 15:57

I've had someone tell me they loved me in bed, early on in a relationship. Think he was talking about my vagina rather than me.

ScreamingLadySutch · 30/12/2019 16:03

Him: in about 4 days.

I was in my 20s and had never heard of love bombing. Only heard of narcissism when it was pointed out to me in post world collapse therapy, but never mind!

But I distinctly remember my gut feel of discomfort and saying 'but you don't know me'.
That moment of lucidity swiftly passed.

Garbosdinner · 30/12/2019 16:12

6 months in. Can't remember who said it first.

Sickandscared · 30/12/2019 16:25

Two months in he said it to me, in the back of his car after we had had sex. I said it back a couple of weeks later when he kissed me goodbye - it sort of slipped out and surprised me. I don't think we meant it though really or meant it in a different way to how we fell in love over the next couple of years.

SilverWhiteWinters · 30/12/2019 16:30

I don't believe declarations of love made during sex or within 6 months. You/they might feel that you have 'fallen in love' but you can't possibly.know someone well enough to actually love them that soon!

I've been proven right everytime by their subsequent actions.

mindutopia · 30/12/2019 16:50

It was 11 years ago now and I have absolutely no idea. I imagine it probably involved a few drinks first and was at least 3-4 months after we got together.

LittleDoveLove · 30/12/2019 16:54

We were on our first mini break having a few drinks, quite relaxed really!

aboutbloodytime123 · 30/12/2019 17:52

I said it, about 3 weeks in. We were just sitting on the sofa together, curled up and chatting. And somehow it just slipped out 🙈 I was really flustered, and apologised - and he laughed and said it back. That was 3 years ago Smile

Geomanc · 30/12/2019 17:55

I'm so nervous of saying it first but I know I will next time I see him 🤦‍♀️
It's very early days but I just know

YellowJellyfish · 30/12/2019 18:06

How early?? :)

BurtonHouse · 30/12/2019 18:09

About 18 months in. I'd been thinking about ending it because I was falling for him and he gave no indication that he felt the same so I didn't want to get hurt. Then one evening over a curry he just said it. My response was to say that I didn't think it was very nice to say something so serious even as a joke, but it wasn't and he did/does. Three weeks later he proposed (that was a shock too) and we were married 6 months later, 35 happy years ago.

Regreteitherway · 30/12/2019 18:09

After 11 months of sleeping with each other. I said it first by accident. We weren't together, still aren't together. But both say I love you multiple times a day. It's very confusing 😂

Hushabyelullaby · 30/12/2019 18:15

DH said it after about 5 weeks. We were in a club sitting opposite each other and had just been laughing and joking when he just looked at me and mouthed it. I knew from about 3 weeks in, but had been hurt before and was petrified of saying it. I’d take the pee out of him or something and then nudge him and say ‘aw love you really’, which was the closest I’d get.

Sunshineandflipflops · 30/12/2019 18:30

About 5 weeks in. Him first and then me a few days later. I wanted to be sure I was saying it because I meant it, not just because he'd said it.

I definitely think you can love someone fairly quickly. No, it's not the same, deep love that develops over months/years of knowing each other but I think there are different types of love and one can develop into another.

Thingsdogetbetter · 30/12/2019 18:43

After a year or so of 2nd time round being fwb he said he was very fond of me. To which I burst into drunken tears and said "but I love you".

Took him quite a while to say it after that wailing display of emotion, but we're now married and he says it daily.

BarbedBloom · 30/12/2019 20:00

About a month in but everything moved pretty fast really, we were both smitten from our first meeting really. 5 years on and couldn't be happier

Geomanc · 30/12/2019 20:43

I've been married twice before and never felt like this 🤷‍♀️
