What's it all about? ('Stroppy men syndrome.')

Surely, psychology must have a name for what we hear discussed on this board time and again:-

The men whose emotions cast a pall, and the house revolves around trying to placate their moods etc, with everyone who lives in that hell walking on eggshells and anxious.

It seems to me that this is A Thing. There must be some term for it, or something?

Or do we resort to feminism and say it's a manifestation of Male Entitlement etc?

What's it all about? Do they just do it because they think they can?

They are called abusers.

I had a mother like this, so im not sure its exclusive to men.

My ex boyfriend was convinced that men had monthly hormone dips because he and his brother used to get very low at certain times

He was never shouty or ranty or moody, they just got mournful. It was weird.

I think more men have mood issues etc. Might be one reason.

Narcissistic personality disorder (or other cluster b).

Or just 'abusers'.

Emotional incontinence - when they haven't learned to control it so it leaks everywhere.

Cluster b personality types.

Narcissists/sociopaths/psychopaths/histrionics/borderlines

Abusers
Perpetrators

Or just toxic arseholes.
