He text me this morning and I replied.
He sent me a video of a song we always sing and I replied then he text saying
"Right enough of this texting please,it's too early for this carry on"
So basically shut up and stop messaging
So I just replied jokingly saying
"Ha ha ok il try and keep my mouth shut "
(We always say I talk too much in life "
And he replied "we can live In hope"
I didn't reply
It was 8am and he had just got to work BUT he messaged me.
Would that annoy you ?

You're really massively over thinking this. It sounds like a jokey chat to me. I can't see how you could get worked up about it.

Do you always stress this much over the small stuff?

coldandheart · 19/11/2019 12:06

Yeah I'm a huge over thinker

He was clearly joking. This is why you should never joke via text. People can’t tell the difference between a joke and a mean comment.

FAQs · 19/11/2019 12:09

Is there more to it? A bigger picture. Otherwise he was at work and it’s the sort of thing I’d say in a jokey manner, however I know who would take it as a joke and who wouldn’t so would modify accordingly. This really wouldn’t bother me.

JorisBonson · 19/11/2019 12:10

It's you again Hmm

JorisBonson · 19/11/2019 12:10

Still shagging 10 other girls is he?

KirstyVal · 19/11/2019 12:13

I think he was joking but I would find that a bit annoying too!

He is the one that said he was busy so I would just wait for him to message you after work. You don't need to text him, unless you have something urgent to ask of him :-)

Starlight39 · 19/11/2019 12:18

I think he was probably just saying in a jokey way that he wasn't going to be able to text back much in case you wanted a conversation rather than telling you to shut up. Rather unneccessary though and doesn't really come over well via text!

MashedSpud · 19/11/2019 12:24
Biscuit
MashedSpud · 19/11/2019 12:25

@JorisBonson Yep you guessed it. It’s Miss name change 100 times to post the same shit about some guy who doesn’t want her.

JorisBonson · 19/11/2019 12:26

Getting quite tiresome now @MashedSpud!

nocluewhattodoo · 19/11/2019 12:27

I think he was just making it clear he was going to be busy at work so wasn't going to be able to keep texting all day, which is totally understandable. You are massively blowing it out of proportion to frame it as him telling you to shut up when he did nothing of the sort. Get a grip.

MashedSpud · 19/11/2019 12:29

It’s been happening for literally six months. If I knew her in rl I’d be telling her to shut up too.

ItsNovemberNotChristmas · 19/11/2019 12:47

JorisBonson I didn't want to be the first to say it, I got told off last time

BelfastNonBlonde · 19/11/2019 12:51

Oh my god OP. He was obviously joking. I would have said EXACTLY what he said in that sort of lighthearted situation.

To be honest, I think you'd be doing him a favour in the long run by not replying... You don't sound compatible.

Lampan · 19/11/2019 12:56

There have been very similar threads to yours in the past OP. Have you posted about him before?

MotherofDogs3 · 19/11/2019 13:00

Jesus not to sound rude but how old are you? Even just by reading what you said he out you can tell he was joking! I think its time to dig out your sence of humour hun

managedmis · 19/11/2019 13:03

Do you not have a job or something?

Myshitisreal · 19/11/2019 13:06

This reads as very familiar. Step away from the phone and try to stop over analysing ☺️

Myshitisreal · 19/11/2019 13:07

I think he was politely saying right I'm away. Would you have preferred he just went silent? . I think he was perfectly OK to say what he did

sableandI · 19/11/2019 13:09

Sounds like banter to me. You either get it or you don't

Havaina · 19/11/2019 13:55

How does everyone recognise OP? Shock

MrsMaiselsMuff · 19/11/2019 13:59

Is this the car journey one?

Hotseat · 19/11/2019 14:30

Are you 12. I think this forum is for adults.

Jane1978xx · 19/11/2019 15:03

@hotseat that was the age I predicted as well 😂😂😂😂
