Do I need to apply for these at my police station or their local police station?

Claire's Law (Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme) is accessed by dialing 101 and giving your details: name, address, date of birth.

Sarah's Law (Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme) You can put in an application via your local police station or again, by dialing 101.

You can do Claire's Law online. That's how I did it.

PumpkinP · 17/11/2019 22:51

Can you really do Claire’s law online?? My friend was told she needed to go to the station to verify who she was??

SoThebWE · 17/11/2019 23:42

You can in Northumbria, because that's how I did it. I don't know about other forces though.

It would be quite unusual to make enquiries under both laws about the same person ?

Why are you asking, op ?

PumpkinP · 17/11/2019 23:58

Thanks SoThebWE I am in London and says need to attend a face to face interview so I won’t bother.

pinkpixie83 · 18/11/2019 07:46

I didn't realise it was unusual to use both, it's a man I have been dating and we are at the point of him meeting my children so I was going for a belt and braces type approach as you only know what someone tells you about them and gut feeling only goes so far.
