Cheer me up with stories of meeting someone later in life

I got divorced for very good reasons 13 years ago when I was in my early 40’s. I just assumed I’d meet someone and eventually did, was madly in love, and inexplicably he went from the sweetest guy in the world to a jealous, controlling idiot. In 13 years just one man has asked me out & it ended with my heart broken. I’m kind, have a job, a house, people say I’m pretty. But I feel invisible to men. I’ve tried online but can’t find the right person.

Can anyone tell me of meeting someone, or their mum or sister or friend meeting someone, after 50? I need a thin thread of hope!

I was married for thirty years (I was young and daft!) and finally had enough when my 50th birthday was approaching and I just could face another year, let alone another 30, with the angry, bitter and controlling man my ex had become.

The wonderful man I was bound to meet (according to friends) never appeared, so it was OLD for me. 13 dates, 1 short relationship and 1.5 years later I met my lovely partner. We've been together for 6.5 years now. My life is peaceful and happy, and full of love. My children tease him by calling him 'New Dad', my grandson adores him, we have a puppy together .

I hope we get at least 30 years together, but every one is a bonus now.

My best friend who is 55 just married her second husband who is 50. They are very happy and he is quite wealth as well and has never been married before or has any children .... he sounds perfect to me and I asked her if he had a brother
