What do you call "him" if you dont like the word "Boyfriend"?

At almost 50 it seems faintly ridiculous to refer to him (of six months) as my boyfriend, but partner isnt right either.

Other half sounds daft when I say it so thats out!

I like the term boyfriend too! Great for reclaiming your youth.
I live with my ‘boyfriend’ of many years in a house we own together. I absolutely hate ‘partner’, it should be limited to police officers and cowboys.
