Please can anyone advise who has got a non molestation order on ex partner

What evidence do I need for a non mol? My ex has a history of DA with a restraining order. He is well known to police for stalking and harassment of at least two ex partners I know of. I am moving soon into a new property with my child and I know when I go no contact he will kick off and soon turn up at my work? Can I get a non molestation order put in with just his past or do I need proof of harassment of me first? I'm so scared of having to face some harassment first from him before I can get one in place. I am having nightmares about him stalking me and him finding me, which makes me so anxious. Do I have to pay for a non mol? Will I have to face him in court? Are they put in place quickly. Sorry so many questions.

For correct advice you'd be best placed to contact police I'd assume.

My experience with the police hasn't been great so far. When I disclosed what was happening and I wanted to do a clares law disclosure they were happy to send police straight over to me. I managed to reason with them that I would come to the police station where I went through it all and then they told me I need to go to social services to get a clares law disclosure, which was incorrect. If anyone can give me any personal advice before contacting the police it would be helpful.

I am also interested in this and hope you get some answers. Have you got a Women's Aid drop in centre near you? They have a solicitor and police person you can speak to at each session.

Hi OP sorry you are going through this.
I got a restraining order issued so he couldn’t contact me or come to the house. He hasn’t breached it.
You ex has history - would a call to women’s aid help or I’m sure there is an organisation that can get one for you (I can’t remember the details) but you need to pay.
Women’s aid also usually have list of solicitors who deal with Domestic Abuse in your area.

I'm seeing someone tomorrow for a chat who can hopefully help me. My biggest fear would be facing him in court.
