Can I initiate a 'Clare's Law' in any old Police station?

Or does it have to be where either me or him live? Anyone know?

I made an enquiry under Sarah's Law at my local station but they check the PNC so it should pick up anywhere I'd have thought.

If you are in Scotland you can do it online

AnnaNimmity · 12/09/2019 09:38

I did it where I live.

Actually it was the next borough to me.

You can do it online but I do think you can go into a police station and get a request to check .

You can do it online, but they do then ask you to come into a station in person so they can verify your identity (or that’s what happened to me, anyway). I went to the station closest to me because that was easiest but I can’t see any reason why you couldn’t ask to have the face to face appointment at a station of your choice.

You do it by ringing 101. If you're the victim it's your local police force, if you're ringing with concerns for someone else then you ask for the police force covering the area they live in.
