Boyfriend goes out drinking and doing drugs whenever he likes, doesn’t come home

Girlfriend plans a night out with friends, boyfriend makes threats about it and tries to persuade the girlfriend not to go?

I mean...i think it's someone acting like a complete dick and I'd question why the girlfriend bothers tbh...
