Am I right in thinking this is strange

DH claims to have a booked a hotel room for his male friend for tonight (friend travelled over last month, stayed one night couple weeks ago). He went straight from work to meet friend and go out for dinner. Came home just before 1am to drop their leftovers and then left to say he staying at hotel with friend. I think that’s odd. What you guys think?

It's not necessarily odd, I think it depends on the circumstances.. we're they planning on going back out for a while? Is there anything else which makes you question it? Are you happy with him to stay there?

Yeh it’s odd. Why would you stay in a hotel with a friend when your home is close by? Am tempted to go to the hotel.

It's not odd, it's fucking ridiculous. He's having a sleepover? With an adult male friend in a hotel near where you live? Really? That's the bullshit excuse he's going with? He must think you are very stupid.

He did not tell me the hotel. I found the details in his email. 1 room, 2 adults. He has only said he is staying with his friend but no mention that his friend is booked into a hotel.

Very odd like, wtf? Odd...if I had confirmation of the hotel I would go to the hotel! See what he is up to! That's just me though.

Ring the hotel and ask to be put through to him. Tell Reception it's an emergency. When he answers, tell him to put his friend on the line IMMEDIATELY or you're calling in divorce lawyers.

Why didn't the friend just stay at your place again?

It is odd but I would've just said to my other half that it doesn't make any sense and see what he says.

You can't get through by phone to the room unless you know who's name it's booked under. If you know that ask for the direct number and the extension will indicate the room number

You have seen the booking so I'm assuming you do know who's name it is booked under. If you asked to be put through to the room by phone, the person with him might actually answer the phone not your dh. Then you'll know if it's another woman without having to speak to your dh
