I think my DF is an alcoholic - anyone been in this situation - can you do anything?

I’m back living with my parents between moving flats. DF has always drunk a lot. He’s just fallen over drunk on the way upstairs to bed Sad

He’s not violent or angry, he’s never not shown up for things due to drinking or been sacked or anything. But it’s not right to be this drunk nearly every day is it?

I take it you mean father not fiance. you're right not normal to be drunk every day but he can only get help when he admits he has a problem. does your dm know.

Yes father banana sorry. She knows he drinks too much, I don’t know if she knows he falls over/walks into the door though.

I’ve just got back from al Anon for relatives of alcoholics. It was helpful and lovely.
