DW and charging order on house. Plus debt.

Hi all
I had a thread on here six months or so back about my wife, debt. Her being a garrntore on an amigo loan. Which was costing us £300 a month.
I don't know how to link it in off my mobile. Sorry.
Well now things have escalated somewhat with a charging order commingled though the post today.
Any advice about this order ?

Is your house in both names? If the answer is yes, then they can't put a charging order on your home when you own half of it.

Seek legal advice.

Start with an appointment with the CAB. They will put you in touch with some not for profit debt organisations. They will also be able to advise you on the charging order and if the debt is joint deb or just your wife's debt. Good luck.

Have you separated from her? If not, you're probably fucked in terms of the debt. If you have officially separated then seek legal advice. Actually seek it in both scenarios.

Yes that's right. We had been paying it. It turns out in the end that we had been paying it far longer than I was first lead to believe. Any this ccj and the charging order that's now turned up is to do with a debt that's hers. It's. It to do with the amigo loan.

I'm currently living at my brother's and. Have been for a few months now. But we aren't legally separated.
Just currently not living with each other. I go home regally. I see my kids most days. I look after them when I'm not working and she is. This is done in the family home.
I guess I hoped for a way back for us ?
I'm been telling her to get legal advice form the CAB or a debt chairty since October last year. Shes done nothing of the sort. Every month a little piece of the jigsaw comes to light. Two months ago it was that she owes the water company over 300 pounds. Last month it was that she owes virgen media over 400 pounds.
Some new every month it seems.
