Do I ask if we are sleeping with other people?

Been seeing him since about 7 weeks now.
I don't know where I stand with him.
Trying to get anything out of him is like getting blood from a stone.
I just want to know if we are seeing just each other or other people.
Do I just ask ?

I've tried asking and he just said your coming on too strong and pushing me away
WOW - run far and fast!!!!
This one is a game player and a head fuck.
If you really want to continue then don't ask.
Just tell.
'Well you aren't giving me a straight answer so I am going to continue to date other people.'

I've tried asking and he just said your coming on too strong and pushing me away. Why can't he just tell me

Whooah, yeah, don't bother with this one. Wouldn't have killed him to just say, "I'm just enjoying getting to know you at this point but I'm not in a place to commit to anything and would like to keep things open for the time being. If that's not something you're comfortable with at this stage I completely understand - no worries" - then at least you'd know. But you're pushing him away?? Heaven forbid you push away mister "keeping you in limbo just in case something better comes along", who would dare risk losing that ??

Pinktinker · 24/07/2019 12:29

He’s just a standard fuck boy really. You’re probably one of a few he sees every so often and he’s likely stringing you all along. Cut your losses and find someone who wants the same things as you.

needsome · 24/07/2019 12:58

The hills are that way OP >>>>>>>

He's a player. Thinks you've got to work for HIM.

"You're coming on too strong and you'll push me away" FFS what bullshit.

If he really cared he'd not be dancing around these matters.

Bin him off.

RonnieScotts · 24/07/2019 14:10

If you've tried asking and he's said you're coming in to strong then I think you have your answer loud & clear.

It sounds like you want different things OP

pikapikachu · 24/07/2019 14:41

No answer is an answer imo.

Far too much drama for such a new guy. This is supposed to be the easiest bit.

Lightness2019 · 24/07/2019 15:00

I don’t think his answer is good. If you hadn’t yet asked I would phrase it more forwards looking ie I am at a point where I am ready to agree we aren’t seeing other people so you don’t do a retrospective. But if he is saying that at seven weeks I would feel sad and try to make myself feel strong enough to move on xx

Luckingfovely · 24/07/2019 15:21

He sounds like a twat.

MrHaroldFry · 24/07/2019 16:37

Don't waste any more energy. Run away and remind yourself that you are worth so much more than his lack of conversation with every step you move further from him. Save yourself from a future of wondering and waiting.

rosevalentine · 25/07/2019 19:47

He's telling you he is.

No answer in a situation like this is a yes.

If I asked and got a response like that I'd feel no way ghosting.
