I work myself up so badly (because I can never be nice to myself) before dates that I end up cancelling - I'm going to be single forever!

Single a long time - been on lots of dates in the past and it doesn't really go past date 3 or 4. I have had a break from dating for the last 18 months and recently (3 months ago) decided to go on a dating app. Been chatting to a few (who appear to be) nice guys. I have pics up and I have nice compliments (I have an ok head) but I feel they can't really see me in full view. Even though I have put 2 full sized pics up, they are a good angle. Jeeze I couldn't put one up of a bad angle could I. Hate having my pic taken as I'm not photogenic.
So anyway, I just keep putting off dates.
One guy seems lovely but I sense the messages have been going on too long, he has painted a picture of something that I'm not. It's my fault as I have put it off, now feel I should have met quickly. I just can't bear to disappoint. It will knock my confidence. I wish I could just relax and not worry what people thought.

Keep the online chats short, arrange to meet for a coffee so you can leave quickly if it isn't going as planned.

This is my plan in future - but what do I do about this guy?

Just meet for coffee as PP suggested.
