If you're estranged from your parents, how long have you been estranged for?

I'll set the ball rolling. I've been estranged from my father for 36yrs & my mother, something like 13/14yrs - I lose count.

Dad, 20 years, although it took him 2 years to notice, so he would say it was 18 years.

5 years from the woman who gave birth to me. She's now dead and I am free at last.

Avoiding contact about 10 years. More so now Dsis has seen the light and is avoiding them too.

Life is good without them in it every day... there will be a day I have to deal with their deaths, DH I'd currently in dealing with that so I am dreading it...

Been NC with mother since January 2011, have spoken twice in that time but literally two sentences. Mainly stay away from me from her, too much has happened since then for things to ever go back to normal. She cut me off for four years when I was younger, guess it won't be long before I've lived half my life without her, I do find it sad I didn't have a normal mum.

I speak to my DF everyday, they're still married so makes it difficult to know I'm not welcome in his home.
