How long til I adapt to my new life after a break up?

My husband left the family home 2 and a half weeks ago. He told me he did not know whether he loved me and said that he had never settled in the area which we have moved to (5 years ago). He has since moved back to where we are originally from, about one hour drive away staying in his Mum's box room. Our three children are distraught. He has them one day at the weekend and takes them out for tea one night in the week.

Since he moved back he has already joined dating sites, my friend spotted him on there so I got a lovely 'is this your husband?' text. He has started smoking, started going to the gym, treated himself to season tickets for the local football team there. He even got rid of the family car and has a nice new smaller car. He honestly thinks the grass is greener, so I'm leaving him to it to see if it actually is. It's like a midlife crisis, but he is only 30 next year!

Don't get me wrong I'm trying to regain my confidence in myself after the breakup, I've applied for my provisional for my driving lessons, sorted my money out and started applying for some evening jobs (I've been a SAHM). I'm keeping busy with friends and family, but I am absolutely heartbroke. It hurts so much that he is straight away throwing himself into and enjoying single life. I know he is single and can do what he wants, but its only 2 weeks and I still feel hurt. I put a huge act on every day to stay strong for our children, but inside I am crumbling. Please tell me this gets easier!!

Also has anyone ever been through this with their ex/OH thinking the grass is greener? xxx

He’s done all this is under 3 weeks? Kings he’s moving fast! He sounds incredibly selfish, do your best to support your kids and be positive, good luck with your job search; you are too good for him.
