Not really any support. If anything will be lack of support as it's all very incestuous and am going to lose (or at minimum strain) a number of my close friendships

Seriously though, you did the right thing.

In a weird way, I know I have but I think it's still going to be hard, what with all the ties with friends and things.

At the time it felt like a weight off but reality hasn't kicked in yet.

At least have always done most of the parenting on my own so dd not missing him at all.. I'm a bit sad for her though as he was the closest thing she had to a proper dad.

but she will thank you for it in the long run. She will have a happy Mum, and that counts for a LOT, believe me. I spent the first 6yrs of my life with a miserable Mum trapped in a terrible marriage. She was much better off without him, we all were.
