Is it wrong to be simply unhappy?

I was just wondering what the general consensus was on being unhappy in a relationship? Understandably, there is often the assumption of some kind of fault or deficit with the other person. What if this is not the case - is it wrong to simply find yourself unhappy in a relationship?

Seems to be a lot of 'grass is greener' rhetoric out there...

Well if you're unhappy in a relationship, I'd be questioning why and what to do about it not if its permissable for you to have those feelings to start with.
You can feel however you feel.

I suppose the first question is what the focus of your unhappiness is? Are you simply realising you are not in love with your partner/husband, and would rather be single?

You can be unhappy in an otherwise functional relationship yes (as in it is possible for your unhappiness not to be founded on your relationship)- your unhappiness or happiness is generally a reflection of yourself rather than your relationship. Except in the case of abuse or the like a relationship generally isn’t the source of happiness or not- it’s a part of an overall picture that is much more to do with who you are and what’s going on inside you.

I think lots of people just get by. I’m sure there are happy moments.
Depends what you think happiness is.
