He doesn't want the baby

Hello,

I'm nearly 12 weeks pregnant, so nearly ready for my first scan.

My partner has recently quit smoking and he has become very aggressive. This morning He snapped over me asking if we could go and get some food.

He screamed and went all pyshco and said to me "if you want me to be honest, I don't want this baby, I want you to get rid of it".

Because he has had children from a previous relationship, he doesn't want to go through raising a child again. I am so hurt by this, I can't tell any family or friends because I'm embarrassed.

This will be my first child and I'm really excited about it but I am noticing now that he doesn't ask about anything to do with the pregnancy. I feel alone with this :(

If you want to keep the baby then do so. Aborting purely because your partner wants you to would eventually kill the relationship anyway.

Oh dear, his reaction is robbing you of what should be a really special time for you. Try to talk to him about it calmly, if he can't or won't then my advice is to remove yourself from his vicinity and go be around someone who is pleased for you. He might come round to the idea. If not you're best being with people who are supportive and caring. Good luck OP.

Dont let him push you into getting rid of your baby, you want this baby so dont let him bully you.
I do think with time he will change his mind he is maybe in shock & really he will have to get his head around it x

If you want the baby remove yourself from this relationship. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. You have been blessed with a baby, If you decide to keep it He does not have to be involved. You have options.

Think carefully about what YOU want and willing to do. Best wishes🌷

7yo7yo · 27/04/2019 19:46

I’d keep the baby and lose the twat.

Lovebeingamummy2 · 27/04/2019 19:54

@ 7yo7yo I agree,

He sounds horrible op defiantly get rid of him a baby is a miracle and it's amazing to be pregnant and go through your first pregnancy it's a special time for you and if you did get rid of baba for his sake you'll only end up resenting him and it will split you up anyway

keep your precious baby and get rid of the guy. you mentioned family and friends talk to them I'm sure they will be happy to support you

Nanny0gg · 27/04/2019 20:17

Was this a planned baby or a surprise to both of you?
How long have you been together?

He doesn't sound much of a catch?

1WayOrAnother · 27/04/2019 20:22

7yo7yo I like your directness!

FuriousVexation · 27/04/2019 20:30

Do you want a baby?

sl07 · 28/04/2019 07:55

Yes I want the baby!! It's just unfair that he is not making my first experience of being pregant very nice.

Get shot of him.

Nanny0gg · 28/04/2019 11:38

Least of your worries.

So again 'Was this a planned baby or a surprise to both of you?
How long have you been together?'

LTB - not very helpful, but the signs aren't looking good.

QueenBeex · 28/04/2019 11:43

keep the baby, get rid off him. Share the excitement with your family & friends
