When will the new 'no fault' divorce law come into effect?

I have found plenty of articles saying that it's likely to go through this year, but nothing that says when exactly.
I'm hoping someone on MN with a legal background will able to help.
It's not the sort of thing I can ask family or friends, because at this stage I don't want anyone to know that I'm seriously considering leaving my marriage.

@User where have you seen that it will be the 1st of June?

According to The Guardian newspaper the new no-fault divorce law will come into effect "as soon as parliamentary time allows".

No-one on MN with a legal background will be able to advise you when parliament will make time to enact the bill. Neither will any Solicitor be able to tell you when it will become law.

I am divorcing and was advised to get on with it now. The new system will introduce a six month period ‘for reflection’ and I was informed that it could take 12 months.

Sadly, I cant risk being joined to H financially for another 12 months so have filed under the old system.
