My ex who I split up with 9 years ago is such an idiot I hAte him so much. He moved to US last January so I bring up our girls aged 16 and 12 on my own. They flew out to visit him for 4 weeks last summer (I took them to Heathrow and picked them up)
We don’t speak apart from email cos I just can’t bare they way he talks down to me.
My daughter has asked for a prom dress from the US so I emailed him quite nicely 2 weeks ago and have had no reply so I emailed him again tonight to which he has replied he is far too busy to look at prom dresses and get one from the uk. I replied and said ok I will but when it comes to important things like passports he replies straight away! Sorry for the rant but he annoys me so much, he thinks he is so much better than everyone just cos he earns loads of money

At the end of the day you’re the one bringing those two girls up on your own and you’re doing a great job.

Don’t for a second think he can even look down on you. ❤️

Thank you so much!
I know come July he will want me to take them to the airport to board a plane and visit him for 4 weeks which is really hard. I’ve had to deal with my 16yr old self harming on my own. He doesn’t really care!

And that’s the difference. That’s what makes you better than he’ll ever be. You’re handling it! And somehow.. you’re bloody coping!

So sorry you’re having to deal with this at all. I really hope she is doing ok!

Fingers crossed she is. We have both had to do a course on it, I met some fantiastic people while doing it. She hasn’t done anything for a couple months but who knows what’s around the corner. I also have a 4 yr old and split up worh her dad 2 years ago which has impacted on my older girls. God I’m a failure but we have good times together but it’s not easy being on my own worh 3 children! I just wish he’d give me some credit!

You need to give yourself some bloody credit! Honestly.. you need to appreciate yourself so much more. Don’t expect him to! If only we could all see our worth eh!

The course sounds good for both of you.

In no way are you a failure. You’ve come on here to vent.. I think it’s admirable.

I read posts like yours AlwaysSunshine and I am humbled.
It was so, so hard being a parent sometimes, and there were two of us doing it.
I swear to god I have nothing but admiration for you who do it alone.
Give yourself some credit and hold your head high.
