Real or foam/ribbon flowers?

What would you ladies recommend for wedding bouquets, button holes etc. Real flowers or foam/ribbon flowers? I am just wondering what is cheaper and if the foam/ribbon ones can look just as good as the real ones. Also are button holes necessary? TIA x

I have never heard of foam flowers but real buttonholes are ver simple to make from supermarket flowers-just search YouTube and have a quick practise ahead of time.

My sil had foam flowers, they looked unbelievably real. I wasn’t convinced when she spoke about ordering foam flowers but they were really beautiful.

more I have slight hayfever so am dubious about using real flowers but I can't decide which I prefer to use.

Totheletter do you know who your sil ordered the foam flowers from? I've been trying to find somewhere that does them do get ideas

Real flowers very easy to make, use Lidl flowers, plenty of ideas on YouTube. Are foam flowers made from a kind of plastic? They’ll be around forever?

I had foam, my photographer went to arrange them for a pic and was amazed! I think I ordered from flowers by Sarah. 6 years ago.

We had fake flowers as I just hate the waste of real flowers.

Was way cheaper too.

furry do you remember where you ordered them from?

Tatty they are made from foam so they last

I got mine from thebridesbouquet.co.uk, arrived quickly and were very reasonable.

I had a mix - real for the bouquets, round the cake and the button holes but foam for the displays. I managed to get a really impressive amount of floral displays on my tables, walkways, archway etc for my money whereas would have only been able to afford a modest amount of real flowers on my budget.

Noone noticed the weren't real (not that I would have minded if they had).
