My mother in law never visits us. Well, in 7 years maybe 3 times. Even then she says she can’t stay and rushes off - my husband visits her at least every two weeks - he works really hard all week, so visiting her so often tires him, and we are working on our house, which I know upsets him that his mum won’t visit to see what he has achieved. The last time she came was 18 months ago. I visit her myself every couple of months with my husband (I can’t go as often as he) and she is either ok - or just rude. My husband won’t accept there I a problem - he says she’s old and doesn’t want to travel - yet she visits his sister or other family who live hours away on a regular basis. I’m just getting annoyed with it - I don’t think she likes me, that’s why she won’t come - but I feel bad for my husband. If I say anything he gets defensive - what to do???
