Long story short.
My mum took suddenly very ill at Xmas....nearly died and still in hospital. I have 2 sisters that visit her most days in hospital as she is very confused and vulnerable and needs reassurance. I am travelling 200 miles every other week yo spend a few days there too to help and see her.
One of my sister's just refuses to tell people when she is visiting....so we can't have a system/rota so we can all manage it. She lives 10 miles from the hospital. It's got so bad now that she's fallen out with us because she thinks we are controlling her :(
It's so sad as my mum nearly died. I am putting some of it down to stress but she is being awful argumentative etc and it's now got to the point we aren't talking and u don't think it can be recovered.
Does anyone have any advice on how to manage this. I'm just falling apart a d would apreciate outside perspective

That must be so hard. Ehy is she refusing to have a rota? Is it because she doesn't want to commit to specific times?

She's trying to regain some sort of control OP. And sadly, that control is being expressed through trying to micromanage everyone else.
Let her have that control and don't challenge the idiocy of it all. You won't win and matters will escalate even more than they already have.
Just go and see you mum when you can. You don't need anyone's permission and you don't need your sister projecting all her hurt and anger onto you.

Thanks for the replies. She suggested a Rota a while back and we all thought it's a great idea! We can try to manage our lives better- and see mum. Mum can't be left alone so we should be taking it in turns so that mum knows too who is visiting her. My sister has lost the plot and said some horrible lies.
I just don't want to see her after everything she has said. Just because she will not tell anyone when she is visiting. It's crazy. It seems beyond repair. Everyone is trying their best and I'm thinking about my bloody sister when I should be focusing on mum.
