Have 10 year + friendship (GP to one of my children) BUT am getting truly sick of this ‘friend’ hijacking other friendships... her attitude in my presence with ANYONE I have introduced her to or she has been around in my company be it friend or family is to openly dislike gossip be negative about...without exception. She then will find out/seek/ask/network info about them and their families! (over the years this has been everyone in our company!) She will then offer to help them in anyway she can think of that is suitable... babysitting, web designing, offer lunch, lifts, and then quiz them about their relationship with me. And because she is so chameleon like, most, initially, see nothing wrong in her. And the reason I don’t ditch... she was widowed a few years ago and my child adores her I feel trapped & furious & paranoid...much needed advise in how to negotiate her and think lighter.
