I found out my partner of 4 years stole and pawns my mums gold bracelet. My family are still greaving our loss of our beautiful mum. Adding insult to injury he denied it for some time. The truth always out.. I asked him to leave no trust left deverstared really.. thenfound out 4 weeks after he left he was in another relationship!!! Can I trust again I do not think so as I’m nearer 60

What a jerk! So sorry you went through his op. I'd be curious if he had any cluster b personality disorder, seems like the sort of thing these sorts of people would do. I say, educate yourself in that area and also take some time to decide on and work on your own boundaries. Then in the future, you'll be able to trust yourself to weed out the jackasses. In the meantime, enjoy your own company, there's nothing wrong with being single and if you cant hack being single it probably means you aren't ready to date anyone else either. Take the me time, learn to love it and if the time comes where you feel like dating again, hopefully you'll be all set to find a decent fella.
