Housing Help! Please help

I currently rent a house with my partner and mum. I have a 2 year old and our tenancy finishes in August. My partner and I are breaking up and we are all going out separate ways. My mums going to live with her mum and I will be left with nowhere to go.
What are my rights with housing? I can’t afford to rent anywhere on my own as I work part time. It’s really causing me a lot of anxiety. If I go to my council now will they do anything about it or will have to wait to I’m actually homeless and have nowhere to go?

You will have to wait until you are actually homeless, the father of the child should be contributing towards their costs will that help at all? You can approach now for advice but realistically until you're homeless they won't do much
