Hi,

Just a discussion I had yesterday with varying opinions on what counts as stalking, so what counts as stalking both in person and online, phone etc?

I'd consider stalking to be deliberately going out of your way to contact or see someone and/or continuing to contact someone via any medium once they had asked you not to.

So online I'd consider it to be things like creating fake profiles after youd been blocked just to look at someone... messaging someone via fake profiles when you've been blocked, or messaging at all from or on anything when youd been asked not to. Any aggressive or negative comments under posts of someone who's asked you not to contact them.

In real life I'd consider it to be things like following someone or sitting outside their house in your car when you've no other reason to be there. Sending someone letters when they've asked you not to. Ringing them etc Ringing their place of work or their relatives trying to get information.
