Please, please help my friend - Stolen dogs - desperate plea!!!!!!

I have come here in the hope that the power of Mumsnet can help my friend. She is absolutely heartbroken after her two beautiful rescue Chihuahuas, Dinky and Doris were stolen. They were taken from her car in a Sainsbury car park in Hinckley, Leicestershire on 13th March 2019 at around 5.30pm.

Katy cannot have children, and has devoted herself to rescuing dogs and giving them the most incredible life. To her they are her children, but some evil person has taken them and she is absolutely devastated. They have now been missing for ten days and there have been no confirmed sightings of them.

Despite the Facebook page, which has been shared by thousands all over the country, there has been no positive news, There is a vast number of people helping to search, but we need more.....more shares, more press coverage, more volunteers searching. Both dogs are microchipped, registered and neutered and both have health conditions.

How can you help? Do you work in the media, press/TV? We have approached many celebs, newspapers, Good Morning Britain etc asking for them to run this story, but so far without success. Is there anyone on here who could help with that? Please, all mumsnetters will you join our facebook page and share far and wide. There is a reward of £2K for the safe return of Dinky and Doris and a Go Fund Me page.

Please report your OP and ask it to be reposted on chat or kennel club.

I am kates sister and posted this in the doghouse section, I got little response. Please can it be moved to chat at the very least so more people see it. We are all beside ourselves with worry.

Hi! I only posted it in 'relationships' for traffic purposes as I've always got little response when I've ever posted elsewhere and 'relationships' is so busy. However I've been asked to move it so have reported and asked for it to be moved. Really just trying to help !

Could you post some pictures of the dogs? That might get more traffic, keep the thread in the doghouse open and get this one moved to chat so you are covering all bases. I’m guessing you have done this but there are specialist dog finders that you can employ if you look online who could help and also keep looking on gumtree as well in case anyone is trying to sell them on.

OMG I'm in Scotland so unlikely I can help - but what the fuck?! Who would actually steal two dogs lime this. They must be an absolute psychopath. Hope the dogs get home soon x

Oh dear god, the poor little things.

Those pictures have made me well up, they are beautiful. Someone will know exactly where they are, keep pushing and never give up hope. Where do the local low life’s in Hinckley hang out? Is there a ‘certain’ area? If so you could approach local shopkeepers etc and maybe even the postman for that area just in case they spot a house with dogs barking that never did before? I know I’m clutching at straws here but just trying to think outside the box. Also hate to say this but you need to do some digging re dog fights, someone with their ear to the ground may know where they are held or arranged, obviously you would hope that the police are doing this work but I have no faith in them I’m afraid, you somehow need to investigate yourself sadly. So wish I could help more.

This is awful what is wrong with this world that someone would steal someone else's pets!! Your poor friend must be devastated I hope they return safely and quickly.
