I posted last week about my OH and his aggressive behaviour. He can be aggressive, controlling, physically rough with our pre-schooler and totally unable to accept responsibility for his behaviour.

After advice on here, some kind, some hard, I have thrown him out and been to Women's Aid. As there was violence directed towards a child, Social Services and the Police child protection unit are now investigating. Even though I know I've done nothing wrong, I'm still terrified. I didn't expect this. He doesn't know about it yet.
On top of this, he's texting me constantly. Begging then being angry then telling me his life is not worth living.
I'm keeping it together for my kids but I'm really struggling. I thought life was hard before, this is an absolute nightmare. Sad
Please tell me I'm doing the right thing, that this will get better.

You are doing the total right thing. You’re so brave. I was in your position and choose to stay and believe he’s change. Now I’ve left him no one believes the photos I have of him having been rough with the DCs.

It will get worse. It will be a struggle. But youve absolutely done the right thing. Trust me, the alternatives are total hell on Earth.

Just ignore him and concentrate on you and the DC. Well done

Sorry meant to say that after it’s got worse then it will get a million times better

Block his ways of communicating with you or at the very least send these immediately into a spam folder.he is just using text messages to try and further manipulate you.

This is short pain for long term gain! He's lost control of you and will try anything to get it back: manipulate, cry, declare undying love, promise to change, threaten suicide etc. Recognise how unstable this shows him to be. Do you want someone this unstable around your dc? Let alone around you? . Head down, power through. Accept the short shite is awful. But keep your eye on the prize.
