I need a replacement. rang the only contact offered and spoke to a computer for over five minutes, all good so far.

then the line went dead.

any suggestions please

Can you not do it online instead?

I did my renewal online. May not be of any use if we leave the EU

At present, they're only valid until 29th March though (for UK citizens)

thanks for the link but it is for new applications, near the end of the form it will advise you that you already have one!!

You can definitely renew on line some where - I did the whole family's a couple of years back.

We renewed on line a few weeks ago and they were with us a few days later.

I don't need to renew, I want a replacement for the current one I lost!

What happens if my EHIC is lost or stolen?

If you need to replace a lost or stolen EHIC, you should call the enquiry line on 0300 330 1350, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm. A 24/7 voice automated service is also available.
